Collaboration in Service Delivery of
Early Childhood Intervention

If you are:

  • a professional involved in early childhood intervention; or
  • the parent of a child under the age of 6 who has a professional diagnosis of either autism spectrum disorder or intellectual disability

you are sincerely invited to participate in a PhD research project on collaboration in service delivery of early childhood intervention.

This study aims to understand your perceptions and attitudes towards collaboration and its benefits. Our intention is to identify the factors affecting collaborative relationships, the benefits and difficulties of collaborative work, how you perceive the outcomes of collaborative practice and any avenues for improvement.

There is minimal research into collaboration in early childhood intervention in Australia - we believe that services will improve when more research is completed. You can make a difference by assisting us in achieving our research goals, encouraging future improvements in the services available.

Participants will be involved in a form of questionnaire, which will take 20 to 25 minutes to complete. Some findings of this study may be presented at conferences or published in journals. The confidentiality of your responses in this survey will be maintained and your personal information will not be revealed at any time.

This study is being conducted by Chih-Hung Yang as the basis for his doctorate at the University of Sydney. It has been approved by the University of Sydney Human Research Ethics Committee and the Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) Research and Ethics Committee.
