“Someone to turn to…”™ Parent Support Network

Help for Chinese parents of children with autism

If you are a parent of a child with autism, life is often very stressful. You want to talk to someone who really understands you. Sometimes the best person is another parent who has had similar experiences to your own.

"Someone to turn to..."™ is Autism Spectrum Australia's parent to parent support program. This program can link you with a volunteer Cantonese or Mandarin-speaking parent of a child with autism who can provide you with emotional and practical support. Volunteers are trained by Aspect and provide one to one confidential support, mainly by telephone contact.

If you would like the opportunity to talk to another parent with similar experiences to yours, please contact Pauline Hunter-Knight by phone, fax, e-mail or post.
